I just received my Cal-EZ today free in the mail. Thank you. I was more than skeptical and leery. But today I was in a severe crisis. I knew my calcium was low for the past two days. All day yesterday I was having muscle spasms in my throat and I felt like I couldn't breathe. On the way back from a doctor's appointment my husband checked the mail and Cal-EZ was in there and on a whim I added it to lemonade and drank it. A half hour later, the spasms in my throat went away and I feel like I can breathe. I was in dire straits and really scared. I don't want to get my hopes up because hypoparathyroidism is a hopeless disease and it makes life hopeless a good amount of time. My fingers are crossed this is my new miracle. I suffer from kidney stones all the time so maybe this will help with that, too.

Dear Cal-EZ,

Thank you, for giving me a big part of my life back.

It is hard to explain, but I will try to express my heart felt gratitude for all of the hard work, your company does to produce a quality product that really changes lives.

In 2009, I learned many new terms that needed quite a while for me to wrap my head around and understand. The first was Medullary Thyroid Cancer and the next was Hypoparathyroidism.

The amount of medication after major surgeries for this Cancer would boggle the mind. Prescription Thyroid hormone that hates calcium and then endless handfuls of horse sized pills passed off as Calcium Carbonate, six to eight times per day, 1200 mgs each. With each pill it became harder to swallow than the next in addition to Calcitriol and prescription Vit D. Everything must be timed four hours away from any thyroid medication.

Taking 6,000 mgs plus of calcium carbonate, daily only to find your labs for calcium were telling a story of low calcium blood levels. Vitamin D was barely detectable and to find that the majority of the calcium lost in the urine casued a build up in the kidneys was very depressing.

From the onset of tingling or muscles spasms for low calcium it took another hour or more to get the stomach to breakdown those rock hard horse pills. The toll it took on my stomach lead to more medications that cannot be taken with calcium carbonate. The days were a constant watch of the clock to time when and what pill to take next and how to eat around the interactions. I did not dare skip a dose for fear that the emergency of low calcium would hit and this was risking a seizure.

There had to be another way.

What was the answer? Increased Absorption. Faster Absorption.

With better absorption you could use less calcium because the wasted quantities in the blood do not do the body good. It causes calcifications in places the body does not need, kills the kidneys and kills the stomach. In an emergency I needed something that worked faster and would not take this toll on the stomach working overtime to crunch rocks. But how do you increase absorption?

This is where Cal-EZ has given me back much of the life I lost.

And the best part is that instead of 6,000 mgs plus, I only needed one to two packets per day.

Due to the ease of absorption, I have been able to hit the target lab number for my calcium monthly. No big lows. No big crashes and if I feel I need a little to get through the day, for increased activity, I know the fast acting absorption will have me feeling confident in getting out and doing a little more each time.

Three years ago I was diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism and in those three years I have searched for a suitable calcium replacement.

I was told for years to just eat tums. I found that was never a help. I made it my mission to find a good calcium supplement for myself.

I feel like over the 3 years I have tried every kind of calcium there is and I still suffered from frequent crashes.

Cal-EZ has been an awesome choice for me as a Hypopara Patient.

I have taken Cal-EZ exclusively for the last ten months. Overall Cal-EZ is a much better choice than other brands.

I like Cal-EZ because it is much easier on the digestive tract than citrates. I do not experience the abdominal and intestinal cramping or even burping discomfort that I experience and find irritating with citrates. Like its name Cal-EZ truly is easy on the stomach and digestive tract.

Cal-EZ is more quickly activated and absorbed than other calcium brands. This can be extremely vital to a Hypopara patient experiencing sudden hypocalcemia. With Cal-EZ it is extremely easy to vary doses.

Cal-EZ is basically tasteless and pleasant. It can easily be taken at home and on the go. At times I have even taken Cal-EZ without water.

Cal-EZ seems to help me get a better night sleep and last more hours before experiencing symptoms of low calcium than other brands.

One rushed day I was out an about for a very important family event and I started to feel tetany, cramping and upcoming difficulties of seriously low calcium. Thank goodness my husband was carrying a Cal-EZ in his pocket as my purse supply was depleted. Within 20 minutes of taking Cal-EZ, I was back on the road for an uphill day. "I was diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism in August of 2013 after a total thyroidectomy. I struggled for a little while to keep my calcium levels stable, but after a few months, it seemed to get better. Around December last year, I began to have serious stomach trouble that started me down a very long, and crazy journey. It turns out I have gastroparesis. My stomach is partially paralyzed and cannot squeeze properly, leaving food undigested in my stomach for hours, or even days. Because of this, I had trouble keeping anything down, along with medicine. The cycle of throwing up caused a drop in my calcium, and made it very hard to maintain stable numbers.
